Newcastle United take on Manchester City at St James’ Park this afternoon in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Steve Bruce’s in-form side are unbeaten since football’s resumption, having taken seven points from three Premier League games, despite the looming uncertainty over the club’s takeover.
City succumbed to defeat against Chelsea earlier this week, handing Liverpool their first title in 30 years. However, Pep Guardiola’s FA Cup holders are still competing on two fronts, aiming to complete a domestic cup double before resuming their Champions League campaign. 69 mins: The second half drinks break is taken. Brendan Rodgers uses the break to give his players a talking to. They need to come up with something different over the next 20 minutes or so.
66 mins: Leicester have been played off the pitch in this half, they’ve not come to the party at all. That needs to change now or else they’re going out of the cup.
57 mins: Kovacic slips the ball in between the two Leicester centre-backs as Tammy Abraham makes a run. He collects the ball and finishes it superbly with a shot across the goal. The whistle goes as the offside flag is raised so the goal doesn’t stand.
54 mins: Pulisic receives the ball in midfield and blasts through three blue shirts. He flicks the ball over to Abraham in the box. Abraham gives the ball back to him as he continues his run and Pulisic turns the ball towards goal. Schmeichel dives and makes the save only for the offside flag to be raised against Abraham.
51 mins: The changes have brought a bit more energy to Chelsea’s play. Kovacic is fed the ball in the box and he’s closed down just as he takes his shot and it’s blocked.
48 mins: Azpilicueta slips the ball into the right side of the box as Barkley makes a blind side run. His cross is deflected out for a corner but Leicester defend it well.
Second half: Three changes at half time for Chelsea, Barkley, Kovacic and Azpilicueta all come on with Gilmour, James and Mount all off.
The ball comes over the top for Vardy, Rudiger tries to clear the ball with a header but just gives it to the Leicester front man. Vardy attempts to put it across goal but Caballero plucks it out of the air.
It’s been a low-key affair at the King Power Stadium so far. You feel as though the substitutes will have a big impact in the second half.

45 mins: Ndidi wins the ball in midfield again, and gives it to Barnes. Barnes flicks the ball over the top as Vardy makes a good run. He collects the ball and shoots but puts it wide of the far post. Just one minute to be added on at the end of this half.
42 mins: It just doesn’t seem to be clicking for Chelsea out there. Probably due to the high number of changes made. A similar thing was on display with Manchester United yesterday. Many on these players are playing their first games since lockdown and it shows.
39 mins: Leicester win a corner but Emerson defends it well and puts the ball out for a throw in. Tielemans tries to feed Chilwell down the left wing but Willian boots the ball up the pitch to clear.
36 mins: Pulisic spins on the ball to face the Leicester goal and runs at the box. He comes up against three blue shirts before losing possession to a slide tackle from Justin. Chelsea are getting into better areas but aren’t creating much.
